With three professional sports teams, one hall of fame, the nation’s second largest performing arts center, a world-renowned orchestra, award winning cuisine, and much more, Cleveland offers a versatile experience to families, couples and individuals. And with all of this, EscapeWizard.com invites you to book your next vacation to Cleveland, Ohio.

Coordinate your vacation to the Rock & Roll capital of the United States through EscapeWizard.com. Fly into Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE), or Akron-Canton Airport (CAK). Book your flight to Cleveland with EscapeWizard.com: To do so, please follow the link to make flight arrangements (www.escapewizard.com/flight.php).  EscapeWizard.com provides you with hotel options as well. Can’t decide which one to pick?  Please consult our top selections of hotels in the Cleveland area for assistance, such as our number 1 choice, the Holiday Inn. Follow this link to the hotel portion of our website: (www.escapewizard.com/hotels.php?flag=htl).

Where to start in Cleveland? EscapeWizard.com recommends the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where you can tour exhibits, view memorabilia from icons like Elvis, the Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, and see special documentaries. Next door is the Great Lakes Science Center.  Signature exhibits include demonstrations of scientific phenomena, like how a tornado forms, the NASA Glenn Visitor Center (EscapeWizard.com’s favorite), an IMAX theater, and the tour-able Steamship Willian G. Mather.

Sports fans will be well aware of the beleaguered history of the city’s baseball, basketball and football franchises. The Cleveland Indians woes spawned Hollywood’s 80’s baseball comedy “Major League.” Clevelanders love their sports and stand by their teams, win or lose.  EscapeWizard.com highly recommends joining in whether it is for a baseball game at iconic Progressive Field, a football game at Browns Stadium, or a Cavaliers game at the Q. All of the stadiums are conveniently located in the downtown area.

What is nice about being downtown, aside from the shopping in landmark Terminal Tower, is all the available dining options. In 2007, when Clevelander Michael Symon became “The Next Iron Chef,” media started to pay attention to what locals and EscapeWizard.com already knew:  Cleveland knows food. Areas like E. 4th and W. 6th have been home to 5-star restaurants and award winning steakhouses and sushi bars. On the West Side, there’s the famous West Side Market, and EscapeWizard.com recommends visiting the Great Lakes Brewery—the Christmas Ale is a local treasure. Further east, scope out the University Circle area for the alternative scene in Coventry and also for EscapeWizard.com’s favorite dining haut: Little Italy, where visitors can take in authentic, elite Italian pizza, pasta and dessert.  (Hopefully it’s August 15th and you can indulge in the Feast of the Assumption festival!)

While in University Circle, EscapeWizard.com suggests you check out the many cultural attractions in the area. One of the biggest attractions is the Cleveland Museum of Art; tour through its Wade Park Fine Arts Garden and marvel at the original cast of Rodin’s The Thinker that sits outside the museum’s former main entrance. When finished, the Cleveland Museum of National History, the Cleveland Botanical Gardens, the Western Reserve Historical Society, all wait within a five minute walk. EscapeWizard.com suggests a stroll through the Case Western Reserve University campus on your way to Severance Hall. Severance is home to the internationally acclaimed Cleveland Orchestra and often has visiting virtuosos performing.  Nearby you can also find the Museum of Contemporary Art.

If the museums and orchestras aren’t dramatic enough for you, there’s always Playhouse Square.  The Square, located in the Theater District of Downtown Cleveland, consists of the Allen, Hanna, Ohio, Palace and State theaters, and is the second largest performing arts center in the country.  EscapeWizard.com suggests also checking the performances of the Cleveland Play House and the Karamu House, both located outside the district.

Cleveland isn’t done yet. The home of Rock & Roll doesn’t skimp when it comes to music venues.  The House of Blues, Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center, Quicken Loans Arena, Tower City Amphitheater, Nautica Flats and the Agora host the major shows in the city. Outside the city, crowds flock to the beautiful Blossom Music Center to sit in the pavilion or relax on the grass and watch their favorite musicians perform. If you can, Blossom is an EscapeWizard.com must. After the show, explore the nightlife in the Flats, or Tremont, W. 6th, or Coventry.

Where else but Cleveland, Ohio can you walk through a Hall of Fame, a ship, a stadium, a brewery, a 708 ft building, past an original work by Rodin, and did we mention there’s a zoo and rainforest, all in one day? Cleveland has plenty to offer everyone, any time of the year.
