Depending on the dates of your stay in Covington, you may be able to enjoy a show at Newport on the Levee. This popular entertainment venue hosts everything from penguin parades and arts festivals, to big-name concerts and movies. Likewise, be sure to check the calendar of events at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center, also host to varying types of entertainment.

If you do decide to cross over the Ohio River and pay Cincinnati a visit, you’ll have the pleasure of crossing over the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge. EscapeWizard.com appreciates the lengthy history of this structure, which allowed the crossing of the first pedestrians back in December of 1866 as it boasted the title of longest suspension bridge in the world at 1,057 feet. Today, the bridge is still an impressive structural feat, and is both a U.S. National Historic Landmark and is on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Needless to say, the Roebling Bridge is not to be missed during your stay in Covington!

Additional popular Covington attractions include the Garden of Hope, the Carroll Chimes Bell Tower, the Carnegie Visual & Performing Arts Center, the Madison Theater, and EscapeWizard.com’s favorites: excellent museums. Don’t miss a tour of the Behringer-Crawford Museum of Northern Kentucky History and Heritage, and be sure to stop by the Railway Museum, too. Many of Kentucky’s most favored events are hosted in Covington, including the Mainstrasse Oktoberfest, a Mardi Gras celebration, and the Original Goetta Festival. Covington enjoys a strong arts scene, evident through their First Friday gallery hop and Fresh Art celebrations.

Both districts offer a tempting selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs; with flavors from around the world in this hub of cultural cuisine. Both areas are great for shopping, too, so EscapeWizard.com is confident that Covington will appeal to even the most distinguishing of retail connoisseurs.
