Guam is a unique island that can be found in the western South-Pacific and lies about three- quarters of the way from Hawaii to the Philippines. It is a territory of the United States and has a strong military presence. Guam is one of the many tropical islands that make up Micronesia.

EscapWizard.com invites you to find a great tropical paradise in Guam. To arrive in Guam, travelers must enter through the only civilian airport, Won Pat Guam International Airport (GUM).  To find the best flight to carry you to paradise, please click here (www.escapewizard.com/flight.php) to allow EscapeWizard.com to get you there in style. Guam can be divided into three main regions; northern, central/metropolitan, and southern. The northern region holds the islands strongest military presence. It is lightly populated and most of the land is owned by the military. It is also home to Ritidian Beach, one of the islands most beautiful and most isolated beaches. Ritidian Beach is home to the Guam National Wildlife Refuge. There are 50 acres within the refuge that are open to the public for fishing, picnicking, swimming and snorkeling. This is a very rural beach and as such, there are no convenience stores, rental facilities, or other such accouterments.

EscapeWizard.com recommends you begin your trrp in the central, metropolitan region of Guam, which is the most populated region.  This region houses most of the islands cities, shopping and dining areas, and the airport. The major cities of the central region include Tumon, Agana, Dededo, Barrigada, Tamuning and Agana Heights.  Fish Eye Marine Park, located in Piti Bay, is a marine preserve and a protected lagoon. The park offers an underwater observatory that is located in “Piti Bomb Hole,” a very popular dive spot.  Two Lovers’ Point is also a popular destination which offers breathtaking views. This popular attraction is located on the cliff line on the northern part of the city of Tumon.  This cliff is in a remote location, but offers some of the most remarkable views.

The cultures of Guam mesh together to form several Asian islands and countries, but the indigenous people of Guam have prevailed and are a strong presence on the island. Chamorro, is the term that refers to the native people of Guam. Chamorro Village, located in the village of Hagatna, offers tourists an insight into their world; a culture that EscapeWizard.com encourages you to immerse yourself in. They offer authentic gift shops, food vendors, and entertainment.  The United States military presence also influences much of the islands economy and welfare.  War In The Pacific National Historical Park offers information into the former battlefields, gun emplacements, trenches, and historic structures that teach about World War II and its historical influence on the island.

The southern region of the island is mostly rural, but very quaint and charming. It is the most untouched, and undeveloped part of Guam and the Chamorro culture is the most preserved here.  Cocos Island is also a popular tropical oasis.  It is uninhabited and offers about 100 acres of white, sandy beach, turquoise water, and warm, tropical sunshine. EscapeWizard.com invites you to experience this natural lagoon which offers boat rides to the island, dolphin watching, scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, and parasailing. The most famous waterfall in Guam is also located in the southern region.  Talofofo Falls Park offers a majestic look at the thirty foot waterfall.  There are black sand beaches to relax in, or picnic areas to eat and enjoy the tropical outdoors. The waterfall is accessible by car, foot, or cable car.

EscapeWizard.com invites you to start your tropical getaway today!  What could be better to calm the stress of everyday life than relaxing on a quite island, complete with beaches, lagoons, peace and quiet?
