Drivers Dont Have to Worry About Getting Lost with AvisNothing is more annoying to a business traveler than getting lost while traveling in a rental car. A recent study has revealed that this is the number one reason for travel delays. The good news, however, is that the rental car company, Avis, is doing something about this. Ask 100 travelers how they feel about getting lost when driving a rental car and 70 of them will tell you that it is very inconvenient. They are driving an unfamiliar vehicle in unfamiliar territory, which makes for a frustrating and dangerous situation.
However, something has changed because Avis has reported a 10% decline in individuals getting lost compared to the number of individuals who reported getting lost in 2007. This is because they have installed the Where2 into their rental cars, which is a GPS system that helps individuals find their way around unfamiliar territory with ease.
Thomas M. Gartland, the executive vice president of sales and marketing, has said that drivers using the Where2 GPS system are becoming more productive in their travels. They also feel safer, are safer, and they are more relaxed because they system is very easy to use.
Avis is also offering slender GPS units that fit right into the customers pocket. It runs on batteries so that traveling in unfamiliar territory on foot is not as frustrating either. Theres also the fact that many traveling on foot are nervous about asking for directions for safety reasons. By having that Where2 pocket unit, asking for directions is not necessary.
As for the new version of the Where2 Avis customers are seeing, it has a large display screen with the capability to be quite bright if you need it to be. It give Avis rental car passengers turn-by-turn directions in over 40 different languages and also provides services such as weather, sports, movie listings, Amber Alerts, and so much more. It is literally a device that does a little bit of everything. If you are in need of real-time traffic alerts, the Where2 provides you that service in 25 major cities, which can be of great help to approximately 51% of the business travelers that use Avis as their rental car company.
So not only is Avis an affordable rental car company, but they are also providing their customers with unprecedented services that can make their rental car experience even better. 21.08.2008. 15:43 |
