Frontier Airlines Announces New Costa Rica Destination Frontier Airlines today announced plans to expand its international service with the addition of a second Costa Rica destination. Frontier Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET), will launch seasonal service to Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) beginning Feb. 13, 2011, with weekly nonstop flights to/from its hub at Denver International Airport (DEN).
**The addition of Liberia is a great compliment to our successful service to San José and now provides our guests with greater flexibility to enjoy all the natural beauty and relaxation Costa Rica has to offer,** said Daniel Shurz, vice president of strategy and planning. **And we are excited to offer nonstop service to eight international destinations from Denver this winter.**
Frontier continues to be the only carrier to provide nonstop service between Denver and San José, Costa Rica, where it first launched service in November 2007, and Frontier is now the only carrier to provide nonstop service between Denver and Liberia.
07.09.2010. 17:16 Frontier Adds New Nonstop Service from Des Moines Frontier Airlines today announced the addition of new nonstop service between Des Moines International Airport (DSM) and Denver International Airport (DEN). Frontier will serve the Des Moines market with new six-days-per-week flights beginning Oct. 24, 2010. Frontier Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET).
Special introductory fares for this new service (for example: DSM to DEN for $59 each way, DSM to Seattle or San Francisco for $109 each way) will be available for sale for a limited time on FrontierAirlines.com beginning today, Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010.
**Along with Frontier*s three daily nonstops to Milwaukee, we are pleased to offer very affordable direct service to Denver,** said Daniel Shurz, Frontier vice president of strategy and planning. **With nonstop service to Milwaukee and now Denver, Frontier provides Des Moines-area travelers with economical access to the east and west with connections to Frontier*s more than 70 destinations across the United States, Mexico and Costa Rica.**
Frontier*s new Des Moines service will be flown by the 99-seat Embraer 190 aircraft. Customers on board these aircraft enjoy comfortable leather seating in a two-by-two configuration. In addition, the E190 has several rows of STRETCH seating, which provides an additional five inches of comfortable legroom. The Company*s E190 fleet will also be outfitted with in-flight internet service by the end of 2010.
22.08.2010. 13:52 Frontier Airlines to Continue Aspen Service Frontier Airlines today announced that it will continue its Denver (DEN) to Aspen (ASE) service. Frontier will service the Aspen flights with its Q400 turboprop aircraft. Service will include one departure per day from Oct. 1 through Nov. 17, two departures per day Nov. 18 through Dec. 15 and four daily departures from Dec. 16 through April 2011. Frontier Airlines is a wholly owned subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RJET).
Frontier had announced in late July that it would cease its Denver to Aspen service on Sept. 31. However, the company has made the decision to retain three of its Bombardier Q400 aircraft in order to carry on service to Aspen and several other Colorado locations.
**Frontier is very pleased to be able to continue to serve the Aspen area,** said Daniel Shurz, VP of strategy and planning. **The versatility of the Q400 aircraft makes it an ideal and cost-effective aircraft to fly into Aspen and, with this continuing schedule, we will be able to offer travelers to Aspen a low-cost, high-quality experience for their fall and winter travel.**
In addition to Aspen, Frontier will use the Q400s to serve other Colorado routes, including Durango and Colorado Springs.
