Hyatt Hotels and Resort to Open Andaz on Sunset StripHyatt Hotels and Resorts will open Andaz West Hollywood in January 2009. Andaz, Hyatts new brand, opened its first property in 2007 with Andaz Liverpool Street in London. The Andaz West Hollywood will be the first North American property for the new brand which was designed with simplicity and locale in mind.
The hotel offers spectacular views of the Hollywood Hills as well as the Sunset Strip and downtown Los Angeles. The 257 rooms will include sitting areas and some rooms offer a glass-enclosed sunroom overlooking Sunset Boulevard. Eco conscious design elements include a special coating on the sunroom windows, which reduce solar heat gain and bring in more natural light, as well as wood flooring that has been harvested under regional environmental guidelines using sustainable forestry practices.
Andaz offers an unconventional check-in experience for guests by the introduction of the Andaz Host. Your host greets you and welcomes you into the Andaz Lounge where they facilitate the complete check-in process while you relax in style.
