Situated at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains, Palm Springs, California is an unparalleled resort destination that combines small town hospitality with urban style. One look at the beautiful landscape and you will instantly fall in love with the city. Not only does it offer breathtaking scenery but it also offers fun activities like touring celebrity homes, hiking up to waterfalls, visiting museums, and much more.

Fly into Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) and one of the first things you will notice is the magnificent landscape. Book your flight to Palm Springs using the link (www.escapewizard.com/flight.php) to EscapeWizard.com. From boutique hotels and full service resort hotels to vacation rentals and inns, the accommodations in Palm Springs are as diverse as the city itself. EscapeWizard.com provides a selection of the top hotels in Palm Springs. Click on the following link (www.escapewizard.com/hotels.php?flag=htl) for this information on the hotel portion of our site.

One of the premier museums in Palm Springs is the Palm Springs Art Museum, which showcases modern and contemporary Western graphics, paintings, sculptures, architecture, photography, and much more. We at EscapeWizard.com suggest taking advantage of Free Second Sundays. The museum provides activities for all ages, including demonstrations of artists at work, hands-on family activities, performances, and films on art and culture.

In addition to having fascinating and entertaining museums, Palm Springs presents a number of exciting, unique festivals. EscapeWizard.com suggests attending festivals such as the Palm Springs Wild West Fest, Bob Hope Classic Golf Tournament, Palm Springs International Shortfest, and Palm Springs International Film Festival. One of the most renowned festivals in Palm Springs is the Palm Springs International Film Festival, held annually in January. During the festival, vacationers can view over 400 showings of over 200 films from over 60 countries. The biggest event of the festival is the Black Tie Award Gala, which draws the biggest actors, actresses, filmmakers, and media from around the world.

Palm Springs has a long history with the film industry, beginning back in the 1920s with a rule that actors had to be no more than two hours away from the studio. The same majestic desert scenery and relaxing atmosphere that attracts Hollywood celebrities lures vacationers. If you are interested in Hollywood or film history, EscapeWizard.com recommends the Walk of Stars on Palm Canyon Drive, Tahquitz Canyon Way, and Museum Drive. Vacationers can also take a celebrity tour and see where celebrities have lived. EscapeWizard.com guarantees that vacationers will enjoy a visit to the famous Elvis Honeymoon Hideaway, the mid-century modern house where Elvis and Priscilla Presley lived and spent their honeymoon.

When you are not visiting museums or trying to catch a glimpse of celebrities, you can take part in outdoor activities such as golfing at top rated courses, hiking through the Indian Canyons, and horseback riding through the desert. EscapeWizard.com suggests taking the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway to travel through Chino Canyon and explore the Mount San Jacinto State Park from thousands of feet in the air.

EscapeWizard.com recommends Palm Springs’s exciting shopping districts, such as downtown and the Uptown Design District, where vacationers can find fashion boutiques, art galleries, antique shops, and consignment stores. Visit the Backstreet Art District the first Wednesday of each month for Art Walks. Stroll through artist-owned galleries featuring collections of contemporary paintings, sculpture, photography, jewelry, ceramics as well as performing arts by nationally and internationally recognized artists. Every Thursday evening, multiple blocks downtown transform into Villagefest, also called the Palm Springs Street Fair, an outdoor festival featuring hundreds of booths showcasing artwork, crafts, and live entertainment. Leave the festival and you are on Palm Canyon Drive with access to shops, restaurants, clubs, and entertainment venues.

Palm Springs offers so much to do that visitors may have trouble fitting everything into one trip. Parker Palm Springs
4200 East Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, CA

Welcome to one of California’s most closely guarded secrets, Palm Springs. Residing east of Los Angeles in the Sonoran Desert, Palm Springs emerges as a resort town oasis full of golf courses, premier shopping, and world class dining. Serviced by Palm Springs International Airport (PSP), Parker Palm Springs (formally the Le Parker Méridien) Hotel is a superb accommodation to enjoy every aspect of your stay in this historically lavish community. Check in at Le Parker is a breeze, and a courteous team of staff are at the ready to help you settle in.

Parker Palm Springs, or “The Parker”, as it’s known to most features one hundred forty-four rooms. There are many different levels of accommodation available to suit any level of luxury. The most basic room is simply referred to as a Standard, followed by Deluxe, Pool View, and Lanai Rooms respective to price. Should a suite or a villa be to your fancy, there are a dozen private villas, also there are six junior suites. The Parker is known for its somewhat trendy and exclusive feel and adding to the effect is the available Gene Autry Residence, a two-bedroom home that is available to be booked.

As for the rooms themselves, a forty inch LCD Television comes standard as well as many of the usual amenities of a nicer hotel. Bath robes and even a complimentary local newspaper during the weekdays accent some of the nicer rooms, but things like high speed internet access, an in-room safe, and an ironing board are present throughout. It should be noted that for some of the higher end services, a Resort Fee is incurred of approximately thirty dollars. This can be refunded should the guest voice any concerns over the quality of services rendered.

The hotel itself is lush with amenities and is geared towards a more adult clientele. A posh breakfast nook called Norma’s consistently garners top reviews and is recommended for a visit even if you are not a guest of Le Parker. The Lemonade Stand is also a dining option that is a bit less involved then the full restraint experience. As I mentioned, Le Parker Méridien is not the best place for a large family of children. An adult-only pool area is a lively focal point for many of the guests during the daytime. Children that do stay at the hotel can enjoy two out of the three pools, as well as a giant chess-board with pieces available on the grounds. Bar service is provided at the pools.

The Parker has facilities to host business meetings and events, the event coordinator can arrange a wide variety of professional accommodations. Currency exchange is even available upon request. Tennis courts and a nearby golf course further illustrate the resort-style living that Palm Springs is famous for.

Palm Springs is a destination that is centered on having a fantastic vacation experience. It would be easy to spend one’s entire time in town at Le Parker Méridien, however an entire city with multiple casinos, golf courses, historical museums and botanical gardens lay just minutes away. Joshua Tree State Park is relatively close and makes a fantastic day-trip. Should Le Parker Méridien suite your tastes then let EscapeWizard.com help make getting there quick and easy (www.escapewizard.com/hotels.php?flag=htl).
