San Francisco exists today as one of the world's most intriguing and desirable cities to visit. Home to gold-miners, entrepreneurs, fishermen, and revolutionaries, there is nowhere like it in the world. Its unique combination of coastal nature and bustling metropolis draws crowds from around the globe. Rich with history, culture, diversity and unparalleled natural beauty, the city by the bay is truly a must-see gem.

EscapeWizard.com invites you to visit "the city by the bay" and enjoy the many attractions it has to offer. San Francisco can be reached via one of two airports: The Oakland International Airport (OAK), and the San Francisco International Airport (SFO). The San Francisco National Airport boasts the world's only accredited museum located inside an airport, featuring rotating exhibits, local and national artwork, and an Aviation museum and library. EscapeWizard.com invites you to book your travel arrangements at: (www.escapewizard.com/flight.php). EscapeWizard.com can also provide assistance in finding you the best hotel accommodations in the San Francisco area at: (www.escapewizard.com/hotels.php?flag=htl).

Once you have arrived in San Francisco, you will quickly realize that the list of attractions is never-ending. EscapeWizard.com suggests stopping by the famous Golden Gate Park, which features a long expanse of natural plants and wildlife. In addition, the San Francisco Botanical Garden and Japanese Tea Garden are located in Golden Gate Park, offering a relaxing glimpse into the natural beauty of the Bay Area.

Fisherman's Wharf is a favorite spot for souvenir shopping, delicious sea food, and strolls along the water docks. A typical tourist attraction in San Francisco, this area is always bustling with people, offering beautiful views of the bay, as well as sun-bathing sea lions on nearby rocks.

Haight-Ashbury, the San Francisco district named for the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets, gave rise to fame in the 1960's as a national hot-spot for hippie culture. Today, it holds a similar vibe, and is an excellent area for vintage clothing, and music shopping. The colorful homes and storefronts confirm this area's famously fun, free-spirited attitude.

EscapeWizard.com suggests taking a visit to San Francisco's Chinatown, lined with one of a kind novelty shops and Chinese restaurants. Offering a quick glimpse into Chinese culture, it can be fun to spend some time walking the streets of this well-known area to find little surprising treasures in cubby hole shops.

For the ultimate in shopping, EscapeWizard.com suggests stopping by Union Square. With streets lined with trendy, upscale stores, Union Square is a great place to do some shopping. During the holiday seasons, this area tends to erupt with shoppers, so plan ahead for parking and walking.

Located 1.5 miles from San Francisco, Alcatraz Island attracts ferry-loads of visitors everyday to it doors. Known to some as "The Rock", Alcatraz Island functioned as a prison until the mid-1960's. Today, visitors are welcomed to take tours of the facility and can reach the island via ferry from Fisherman's Wharf.

For a taste in art and culture, EscapeWizard.com suggests visiting one of the many well-respected museums in the San Francisco area, such as: The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), and the California Academy of Sciences. A great place for kids and adults alike, both establishments offer loads of valuable information and art for your viewing pleasure.

EscapeWizard.com can direct you to some great nightlife hot-spots in San Francisco, as well. As the city is so varied itself, nightlife offerings are equally as eclectic. For a rocker/hipster scene, explore the many bars and restaurants of the Mission district. The Marina district offers a slightly more up-scale, yet fun selection of night time gathering holes. For the very late-nightlife, check out the small, unique spots lining the North Beach district. With incredible options to choose from, the city by the bay has a fun spot for everyone to enjoy a night out on the town.
